"In order to prop up an insane worldview that can’t be defended, or even coherently articulated, you have to insulate it from criticism."

This...hits the nail on the head. Brilliant!

Can’t thank you enough for the daily belly laughs! I’m old enough to remember the “Laughter is the Best Medicine” section of the old Reader’s Digest, I always read that before anything else. Laughter is everything and no one does it like Babylon Bee!

I discovered the Babylon Bee around the time that the world was spiraling into insanity - ca. 2016 - and, since that time, you have helped me maintain my sanity. I thank you for that.

Only Jesus is perfect, but if you've had a misstep on this journey, I haven't seen it. Never lose sight of humbly sharing His love while never relenting on His truth - you do it very well and inspire many of us...

My husband and I will be attending the Babylon Bee event in Fort Worth in two weeks, and we're looking forward to meeting you. I have a joke based on something I do every day that my husband thinks is insane and hope to pitch it to you. I realize it may be funny only to a few people, but hey, it's an opportunity. Cheers! Keep telling the truth, and punching down.

Exactly right, why do you think they went after Dave Chappelle so hard?

A-freakin'-men! Thanks. The unifying theme of the left seems to be that they like anything, no matter how outrageous, that destroys American societal ideals.

This is eloquent and cogent, and explains why the BB is such a significant source of wisdom. It is founded in Christian faith, in my mind inspired by the Holy Spirit, and demonstrates that God, in all his majesty, has given us humor to fight evil. Forgive me if this post is a little breathless, but I think satire is the best tool to fight against the cultural carnage we're witnessing.

Bravo! Written by someone with a mind unclouded by liberal platitudes and Leftist bilge.

"I think the answer is as simple and straightforward as this: Instead of laughing at absurdity, we accepted it. Instead of ridiculing bad ideas, we tolerated them. The absurd has become sacred only because it hasn’t been sufficiently mocked."

Yes, well written. This idea has been articulated since the beginning of human civilisation. Paraphrased, evil is the failure by people to speak out against each step that moves us towards it, regardless of how small the step appears to be, or how prettily it is dressed in pretty petty ideology.

In another format, is that lies lead to Babel and that that allows and even gives evil the nutrients needed to grow. Mocking lies is to bring them to light. Evil does not survive the light.
